Cookie policy
Last updated: October 21, 2026
This cookie policy explains how AB Mavatar uses cookies and similar technologies on our website, mavatar.com, and how you choose which ones we may use. Mavatar Discovery, our research platform, has its own cookie policy.
1. Who is responsible
AB Mavatar, Vasatorpsvägen 3, 254 57 Helsingborg, Sweden, is responsible for the cookies on this website. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data, what your rights are and how to contact us.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage and tracking pixels, store or read information in your browser in the same way. In this policy, "cookies" covers all of them.
Some cookies are set by us. Others are set by the companies whose services we use on the site, such as Google or LinkedIn. These are called third-party cookies.
3. Your choice
The first time you visit, a banner from Cookiebot asks which cookies you accept. The cookies are grouped into four categories:
- Necessary: needed for the website to work, such as remembering your cookie choice. These are always on.
- Preferences: remember settings that change how the site looks or behaves.
- Statistics: show us how visitors use the site, so we can improve it.
- Marketing: measure our advertising, and let us show ads to people who have visited the site.
Until you make a choice, only necessary cookies are used. Statistics and marketing services are not loaded unless you accept their category. Declining does not limit your access to any part of the site.
Your choice is saved for 12 months, after which the banner asks again. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing your consent does not affect what was collected before you withdrew it.
4. The cookies we use
The tables below list the services that set cookies on the site. "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page shows the full, current list of every cookie, with its name, provider, purpose and how long it lasts. Cookiebot scans the site regularly to keep that list up to date.

Embedded content
Some pages show YouTube videos. They are embedded in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). When a video loads, YouTube (Google) receives your IP address and stores player data in your browser's local storage. Cookiebot lists this under Marketing.
Some event pages have a sign-up form from Microsoft Forms. When the form loads, Microsoft receives your IP address and may set the cookies it needs to run the form. What you enter in the form is covered by our privacy policy.
5. What is collected and where it goes
Depending on what you accept, these services receive information such as your IP address, your browser and device type, the pages you visit, the page you came from, and an identifier stored in a cookie. Google Analytics does not store IP addresses. LinkedIn and Meta can link the information to your account with them, if you have one.
Google, Microsoft, LinkedIn and Meta may process the information in the United States. They are certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission has found to give personal data an adequate level of protection.
Each provider's privacy policy explains how it uses the information:
6. Legal basis
We use statistics and marketing cookies only with your consent, under Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR and the Swedish Electronic Communications Act. The necessary cookie that stores your choice does not need consent: we use it because we must be able to show what you agreed to.
7. Blocking cookies in your browser
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser's settings. The site still works without cookies, but without the cookie that stores your choice, the banner will ask again on every visit.
8. Changes to this policy
We update this policy when we change the cookies or services we use. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
